Robert Herring serves as Executive Director of the Washington-East Washington Joint Authority, where he oversees operations, capital planning, regulatory compliance and long term infrastructure management.
Robert Herring serves as Executive Director of the Washington-East Washington Joint Authority, where he oversees operations, capital planning, regulatory compliance and long term infrastructure management.
A licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and certified Project Management Professional, Robert brings more than 15 years of experience in municipal and environmental engineering. Prior to joining WEWJA, he was a Senior Project Manager at the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority and earlier worked in municipal consulting on public infrastructure projects across western Pennsylvania.
Robert says one of his favorite parts of working at WEWJA is collaborating with a dedicated and knowledgeable team whose diverse skills and experiences bring a wide range of strengths to solving complex infrastructure challenges
Together, they work every day to strengthen the sewer system and continue building a best-in-class public sewer utility that supports the region’s economic growth while protecting the environment.
